Welcome to the RNASeq Workshop

Douglas Fir Transcriptome Data

RNASeq Workshop: Douglas Fir (click here for access)

Included are three data-sets:
  1. Diurnal: DeSeq normalized data generated from 6 trees samples at 4 hour intervals for 48 hours.
  2. Merged_annual: DeSeq normalized data generated from the mean of 2 tree families sampled at 16 time points over the span of 1 year.
  3. Interpolated: Values from Merged_annual interpolated to equally-spaced time-points to facilitate analysis of circannual patterns.

About the program

The RNASeq Workshop is a collection of Shiny programs and R scripts designed to make exploration of alignable data generated by RNASeq experiments fast and easy to perform. Data from .SAM files is loaded into a MariaDB database which provides all the flexibility of SQL while also enhancing the ability of researchers to work with the data remotely and securely. The workshop facilitates the creation of user-defined pipelines to filter, transform, and aggregate the .SAM data into "count tables" that form the underlying data structure used to visualize the data using an interactive web front-end. An adminstrative module automates the importing of the data in the SAM files, the creation of custom pipelines, and production of time-stamped records of each step in the process.
